After 40 years as the Head Coach for the UCLA Bruins, Coach John Wooden retired in 1974 with a lifetime record of .813 making him the most winningest coach in sports history. John Wooden once said, "A coach is someone who can give correction without resentment." Thank you for being willing to help coach the Heritage Academy Trap and Skeet club where our role is to instruct, direct, edify, and correct without resentment.

Below you will instructions on how to complete the Coach Onboarding process. This Coach Onboarding guide was created to help you get up and running as a coach as quickly as possible.

Get Connected

The club uses a few different channels to communicate between coaches, scholars, parents and club supporters about club events and activities including the practice schedule, the competition schedule, fundraising activities, and more. Follow the instructions below to get connected to the club. 

Team Reach App

Summary

Heritage Academy uses Teach Reach to communicate directly with scholars and parents and to share important information like the club practice and competition schedules. Follow the steps below to create a Teach Reach account and join the Heritage Academy Trap and Skeet Club group.

Summary

One way you can support the club is by liking, following, and subscribing to the various Social Media accounts managed by the club. The social media communication channels are available to a wide audience including extended family members and friends interested in club activities.

Summary

The club competes in and receives member benefits from the USA Clay Target League. All members of the club must create a free account with the USA Clay Target League before participating in club events and activities.

Get Certified


Summary

Safety is our top priority. All members of the coaching staff are required to complete the league's C.L.A.S.S. safety training for coaches. Completing the course will qualify coaches as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) and to provide S.A.F.E. Range Day training. The C.L.A.S.S. certification includes the same S.A.F.E. certification each scholar must complete prior to participating in range events. Follow the instructions below to sign-up for and complete the online C.L.A.S.S. training course.

Get An IVP


Summary

Heritage Academy requires all coaches to obtain a Identify Verified Print (IVP) Card. IVP cards are required for any profession that operates in or around a school campus. The IVP card is obtained from the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). 


Instructions

The Fingerprint Clearance Card application process is a multi-step process that begins by submitting an online application on the Arizona DPS website. The DPS has provided a video tutorial on how to complete the application. The online application process will guide you through the remainder of the process which includes being fingerprinted at an authorized agency or service provider.

Coaches are responsible for understanding the rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines of Heritage Academy, the Heritage Academy Trap and Skeet Club, and the USA High School Clay Target League.
