Shooting Disciplines

New Scholars are required to participate in the Trap discipline in their first season. Returning Scholars are eligible to participate in additional shooting disciplines. 

Fee Schedule

Returning scholars choosing to shoot in multiple disciplines will be assessed a fee for league registration, competition ammunition, and competition range fees for each discipline they register for in the Athlete Management System (AMS).

Club Fee Payment

The Club offers four convenient options to pay for the seasonal Club Fee. All fees must be paid in full for a scholar to be eligible to participate in practice or competition events.

Personalized Fundraising Campaign

Registered scholars are provided with a personalized fundraising campaign to cover all or a portion of their Club Fees. Contact a Coach or a member of the Board of Directors on Team Reach to request a personalized fundraising portal.

ECA Arizona Tax Credit Donation

The State of Arizona allows Arizona taxpayers to claim a non-refundable individual tax credit for fees and cash contributions paid to Arizona public schools (including charters) for the support of extracurricular activities (ECA) or character education programs.

The Arizona Tax Credit is equal to the amount of fees paid or amount contributed, dollar-for-dollar, up to $200 for single or head of household taxpayers, and up to $400 for married taxpayers that file a joint return. (ARS §43-1089.01)

The state tax credit is available to ALL qualifying individual Arizona state taxpayers. The donor does not need to have a child enrolled at Heritage Academy to take advantage of this state tax credit as long as the donor is an Arizona resident they can donate.

Arizona taxpayers can make donations from January 1 up until April 15 of the following year. Donations made between January 1 and April 15 must be designated as to which tax year the donation applies. For example, a donation made in April 2024 can be applied to either 2023 or 2024.

Arizona Taxpayers may submit donations online using either a credit or debit card through the secure MySchoolBucks payment system. Donors will receive a receipt after completing the online transaction. When prompted, please select the following options in the online donation form:

Use a credit card, a debit card, Venmo, or PayPal to process Club Fee payments online. A transaction fee of 3% is assessed at checkout.

Submit a check or cash payment to a member of the Board of Directors. Checks should be made payable to Southwest Shooting Sports, Inc.

Season Schedule

The Spring season begins in March and culminates in the Arizona State Tournament in June. All Events are scheduled every other Saturday morning from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM MST. 


S.A.F.E. Range Day

New Scholars must complete S.A.F.E. Online Training and S.A.F.E. Range Day Training before participating in practice or competition events. S.A.F.E. Range Day training is FREE for Scholars that have completed their S.A.F.E. Online Training course. The course is typically completed in 2 hours or less and is provided by a Coach at the Range. Once complete the scholar can practice and compete with the Team. Actual training dates will be posted in late January to early February.
